Alright, let's go through all the events that happened for the past few weeks. In chronological order:
Shifted my Xbox 360 to the bedroom. Haven't played it for a long time though T-T
Kevin wasn't kidding when he said that the AP workload was vastly different from those of the normal courses. I spent way too much time warming up for the school year and ended up having lots of Bs on my grade book. It's down to 3 As and 3Bs now and if today's Macro-Economics test went as well as I thought it did, We'd be looking at 5As and 1B. I'm not expecting that AP Language grade to pull up so soon. I really took a heck of a beating from those stupid quizzes. I mean, really, who memorizes in a language class?
I've been falling sick a lot. I had a hell of a fever back a few weeks ago and had to miss school. That was absolutely disastrous. I ended up lagging behind the guitar class real bad and worse of all, I wasn't there for the Econs class and ended up getting a 70% for the damn quiz. I have a cough now and god knows, a fever might just develop again T-T
I've also been busy with College essays. I spent like a weekend doing what I thought was a college essay, only to find out from Angelo that it's really a short response. Q_Q Well, better late than never. I'll be applying to Brown University and University of Michigan for Early Decision/Action come November. Crossing my fingers >_<
I was supposed to turn up for a birthday party but... I overslept. I set the alarm to 6pm...or at least that's what I THOUGHT I did but it turned out that I had actually set it to 6am. I ended up waking up at 9.40pm. My mum seemed awfully happy about it though.
Well, that's about it at any rate. See you guys later!

Hello, people. I'm here again.
They have this canal-like swimming pool for little kids to swim in. It was terribly cute and if I had been a couple of years younger, I'd have jumped in.
That's the actual swimming pool. Don't ask why it's green because even I do not have an idea. Giorgio managed to collect some of the water into a bottle and we can certify that the water is clear.
That's the beach. The photo was taken at about 3-4pm which explains why its empty. People only start hanging around the beach at about 5-6pm. It'll also be populated by food and board sellers.
The fish dishes around the area are said to be really good so we had seafood for all our meals there. I only seem so bored because I was sunburnt, did not take any gadgets down with me and had my camera taken away by the cameraman.
I'm still waiting for the same photo in Hillary's camera to be sent to me. Sadly, the sweet lil sister of mine lost her cable so we're stuck with this for the moment. No problem, right?
So, I spent the last weekend of my stay in Jakarta on a stay-over in Anyer...which is a beach resort located about 2 hours away from the city.

The trip was really fun, despite the head-splitting headache I had on the first night and the persistent salesmen following us all the way into the seawater just to persuade us to buy their merchandises. Oh, Kenny's uncle lost his glasses in the water =( Another fun-filled activity we had was a 3v3 water polo with 3 Malay Indonesians. We won 15-13 mainly due to Giorgio's accuracy in his goal throws (I can play Counter Strike! hahaha), Kenny's big fat bulk blocking the goal and my... diversion dance? @_@
Fast-forwarding time by a few days (after that disastrous/awesome 2 hr car ride where Kenny drove us back to the city),

I had the privilege to join the Buntara family on a farewell lunch thrown for Kenny, who would be returning to San Francisco in a day. The car drove us out of the city for about 1 hour just so that we could eat a (I did not know it existed) Fish cooked in bamboo or as the Indonesians call it, Ikan Bamboe. Obviously, like all nice days, they ran out when we arrived *holds up sarcasm sign*

I asked to take a picture with the family for memories. From the right, Hillary (my unofficial little sister), Kenny, Grandma (theirs), Grandpa (also theirs), yours truly and Uncle (theirs too)

That's Kenny's mum on the far left.
Now we fast forward to a roughly a week before this...in the mountain retreat, Puncak. We (the young'uns group) arrived in the house first and decided to spend the time...doing something called light...err i forgot the name...Light-Painting?

That was supposed to be a V, by the way.

Definitely one of favorite photos. If you haven't guessed, I love group photos. HEY, there's my macbook pro there =)

Karaoke and dancing came after the light-painting. Was loads of fun. Songs included Grease Lightning and...songs from Michael Jackson?

Another of my favorite photos. Kenny's Mum dragged us to go on a 30 mins hike up the mountain. Wasn't too bad, considering the mountain air and cool weather. Oh, that's Giorgio beside me, by the way.
I'll end this post with the next picture. Finally, a picture to commemorate another 4-5 years of friendship (That's what I call it) with both the brother and the sister (whom I had unofficially gotten to be my unofficial sister [or her mum might kill me]).

The trips in Jakarta were extremely fun for me. It's been one year since I've seen my close friend and my unofficial sister so it's been great catching up with them. In total, I spent about 7 days staying over at Kenny's and with total confidence, I can say that the times I spent with the folks back there will be one of my most memorable days spent in 2010.
Obviously, the largest regret I'm having right now is that in all those photos (group photos), there were 3 people missing. My other close friend (who bought a SCII =.=), Daryl Choo and my OTHER unofficial sister, Cheryl Choo plus...that other guy, Hendhy Hutomo (I'm just kidding, dude =P ) Hopefully, we'll have another trip next summer and EXTREMELY hopefully, the group will be back together again...and we'll finally have a full-house monopoly game...and someone else to squeeze food into=D
Right, back to guitar practice. Ciao, readers!

It's the first day of school. Not good.
I started coughing really badly last night and due to the increasing frequency of the coughs, I woke up at about 3 and went to take 2 teaspoonfuls of cough syrup before heading back to sleep. 1 hours later, I woke up to the alarm clock ringing. Lo and behold, I felt feverish. I think I'll just try to survive for today and check my condition again when I get back home. If it's still alright, I'll just take my medicine and sleep off the day. If it got even worse, I'll have to acquire my mum's assistance in this matter...and end up with a ridiculously long and loud lecture about having to drink more water -_-...You know, the folks might just be right. Maybe 90% of my weight really IS due to the water content inside me. I mean, check out that ridiculously large water bottle.

So I've watched Inception, Shanghai and Salt since I arrived in Jakarta. Inception was really good. Shanghai was good too but not as good as Inception. Salt was bull-crap. Then again, Angelina Jolie's movies have never been better than average. I'm with Kenny here. I don't get how people found her attractive at all. Those lips probably belonged to a Dementor or something.
To elaborate more on the Puncak trip, we made the trip at night and reached the villa at midnight after 2hrs full of karaoke in the car (made even more hair-raising by Kenny's 'charming' voice). We then had another half an hour of karaoke until the adults arrived. The sister was packed off to sleep and the three boys stayed up a bit longer to watch Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. We then had a surprisingly serious discussion of whether that dog plushie on the shelf was indeed, haunted before going to bed uneasily.
Morning came and both the adults and teens went out for breakfast where I ate...steamed rice? Uhh nevermind, I have no idea what to call it. The brekky was followed by a slow trek up the mountain and then a delicious lunch only a grandma could ever cook up. We then spent the evening watching the Power Rangers movie, laughing our assess off at the Pink Ranger going," Tommy. Tommy!TOMMY!" and the White Ranger going," HANG ON, Kimberly", which could be interpreted in so many wrong ways.
We encountered a freak jam on our way down the mountain and had to endure a storm of red lights from the car in front, a battery-dead macbook and lame jokes (Yours truly is to blame). Dinner was really good. Did I mention before that I love lamb meat? Now you know =) We reached Kenny's house and slept after some Digimon-ing.
We're supposed to have another stayover tomorrow but for some freak-of-nature-does-not-know reason, Giorgio said that he's not coming. I'll wake up early tomorrow, bug him to come and go back to sleep. I want my hard disk back from him so bad.
I've decided to name my future daughter 'Anastatisa". I find names like Mary, Jane, Rose and those other common names overly simple. I find names like Apple overly-pretentious. I find names like Sherly and Shirly overly confusing (don't kick me for this, Sherly). I find names like Anastasia just original. So there. Maybe I'll call the the boy Anastasia VR 2.0 just for the laughs...You do know I was joking, don't you?
I spent the whole of yesterday at home writing up my college essay...only to delete the whole thing when I got back home from dinner. It was a pile of bullcrap. I need to figure out my special trait. My mum suggested filial. My friend suggested friendly. My other friend suggested hardworking. All were so common-place. Someone had the gall to suggest 'pervert' though. Yeah, I'm sure the admissions officer would be THRILLED to finally find a Peeping Tom partner -.- I think I'm on the edge of finding something though =)
I just found out from Giorgio that swimming briefs are uncool. Point taken. I shall from now on, proceed to swim with my PJs. I'm only joking, guys.
Without anything related to be used for conclusion, I'll just say this. I am really, really, actually, really Batman-in-disguise.

I just took a peek at the difference between my GPA and the average GPA of students accepted into the University of Michigan. That difference was 0.12, which translates to 0.72 grade points in total, which then translates to... 4-6 marks for each subject? That doesn't matter, I guess. I couldn't get into UPenn. I couldn't get into Stanford either. Berkeley just slipped out of my grasp, along with UCLA. Now, even Michigan is on the verge of disappearing from my line of vision. There's probably no more future for me. Strangely, I don't find myself distraught over this revelation. I've failed worse, I guess. Trash. Loser. Lowlife. Beggar. Retard. I'm used to it now. Like always, I'll just put on my earphones and let life move on. I don't need Harvard certificates to get my answers or to lead a good life anyway.
One thing's for sure. I'm not letting the world toss me aside without a fight.

I visited Emporium Pluit with my Dad today. It's right across Pluit Junction and is also beside the road where Kenny...almost killed us all.
One thing I noticed while walking around the shopping center was economical and lifestyle differences between the native Indonesians and the Chinese. Most of the ones walking around and shopping were Chinese. The Indonesians? They were the ones who were working their hearts out in food stalls and in toilets. When you think about it, that scene really does give you an obvious reason as to why native Indonesians hate the Chinese. I mean, C'mon. It's like a guest who's over-imposed your generosity but still has the nerve to treat you like his/her servant. Then again, it's either them or us. Another example as to how unfair the world can really be.
On an unrelated note, I had a great time staying in Puncak with Kenny, Giorgio, Hillary and Kenny's family. We spent a night playing Grease songs on my Macbook Pro and dancing to the tune. We also spent an afternoon watching the first Power Rangers movie and found ourselves weirdly entertained. The best thing ever? There wasn't any internet. No facebook. No Twitter. No MSN. Sweet mountain air and good food? You betcha.
